Hi! My name is Lauren Thornton. I have been baking about 20 years! I am a self taught small batch baker. Shug's got it's name from my late Grandmommy, a few of the recipes I use are from her, and she always called her favorite people Shug, which was short for Sugar, in her very thick southern accent.
Small batch baking, means using the best, freshest, and local ingredients in everything that I make/bake. My items do not leave my kitchen, unless I am confident that I would serve it to family. I try to make as many ingredients as possible in my baked goods. From extracts, to homemade cookies, I hope you find something you truly enjoy!
